SQLx migrations live under `db/migrations`. Preview migrations with `carnelian migrate --dry-run` before applying them to a working environment.
Test layers
- Unit tests exercise core behavior without Docker
- Integration suites require the PostgreSQL service and other declared dependencies
- Focused suites can target one subsystem while iterating
- Local CI scripts mirror formatting, lint, unit, and optional integration checks
Structured diagnostics
Runtime logging supports structured JSON or logfmt output with trace, span, and request identifiers. Sensitive values are redacted by default; debugging should preserve that boundary.
