Skill authoring and runtimes
Design a skill contract, choose a bounded runtime, and validate packages before execution.
Start with the contract
A skill manifest names the runtime, input contract, resources, and requested capabilities. Keep this contract stable when moving an implementation between Node.js, Python, WASM, or native Rust.
WASM skills
Wasmtime executes portable modules through WASI Preview 1. Host access remains explicit, which makes WASM suitable when portability and a narrow sandbox matter more than ecosystem breadth.
Native Rust operations
Trusted native operations are registered by name inside the Rust workspace. They trade isolation and hot-swappability for direct integration and should remain limited to reviewed system work.
Validate and release
- Validate the manifest and input schema
- Exercise the skill in its actual worker runtime
- Review requested capabilities and failure behavior
- Refresh the Skill Book and confirm the new checksum
- Inspect worker health and ledger events after execution
